Gregg not convinced to run again
What is Senator Judd Gregg thinking? That is a question I would really like to see answered given his decision to not run again in 2010 for his Senate seat. I can see how he might want a cushy job with less responsibilities, but his seat is so important to his Party given the outlook in the 2010 election where every seat Republicans can get will be a major accomplishment. If Gregg was concerned about President Obama's economic reform then I can accept that he wanted to remain serving the nation with his role as Senator. Yet, with his most recent announcement, it appears that a filibuster proof majority will almost surely be guaranteed to the Democrats. If I was Senator Cornyn right now I would be doing everything possible to get Gregg to reconsider because of how important his seat is. I would imagine that Gregg would win if he decided to change his mind and given the lack of potential Republicans to replace him in New Hampshire, this must totally devastate the Republican Party.
