Mystery donor keeps giving to woman-run colleges

I have been following this story since it came out a couple of weeks ago because typically when a donor gives to a college they like to be identified as having done so. The new mystery donor that keeps spreading the wealth across the country is a breath of fresh air given the state of the economy where many colleges are facing problems with their investment portfolios down significantly. Instead of wanting recognition for giving, the donor has shown that who provides the money is not important. What is important is the idea that charitable giving should occur from the heart rather than the fifteen minutes of fame that can be gained. I have never heard of a person giving over $60 million to fund education and go to such great lengths to remain anonymous. This just goes to show that education is an area of need that has not been addressed to the degree that it should be. College should be a place for individuals to gain experience and knowledge that they can use to better themselves and donations like this are just the thing that will enable students to go after their dreams without worrying about the costs associated with getting a college degree.
