Wizards get a new coach

I really like the hire that the Wizards made with Flip Saunders and I think they will definitely be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference next year provided that Agent Zero recovers properly from his knee surgeries. Although I am a bit perplexed as to why they agreed to pay him so much money considering that they are already on the hook for Eddie Jordan's salary, Saunders will be just the type of coach that can bring life back into the Verizon Center on a regular basis. Offense is what sells and that is what Saunders specializes in so the reins will be coming off for Arenas, Butler, and Jamison to do their thing on the court. In all honesty, the Wizards are not as bad as their record indicates and had they actually gotten some production out of the role players they could have made a charge for the eighth spot in the playoffs. Butler and Jamison can only do so much and so hopefully the development of players like JaVale McGee, Andray Blatche, Nick Young, Javaris Crittenton, and Dominic McGuire will improve during this offseason because the Big Three will be primed to go after the title one more time before the team may need to be dismantled due to luxury tax implications.

I guess Saunders is ok. He'll get the team to the playoffs, have them loose in an early round, and get fired in year four because the gm thinks the team needs a "new voice." ie, Minnesota, Detroit
