Tesla recieves over 500 orders for new electric sedan

Tesla, the company that famously builds the $100,000 all-electric Roadster capable of going from 0-60 in under 4 seconds, has secured over 500 deposits for its new all-electric sedan (the Model S) despite it being years away from production. The number of deposits is even more surprising given the economy and uncertainty over Tesla's future - Tesla is trying to secure over $300 million in Energy Department loans.
