Michelle Obama J.Crew outfits in London prompt shopping frenzy stateside

JCrew's stock is up 64% and the daily news feels that the first lady may have something to do with it. The cardigan she wore to Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre on Wednesday sold out by 10 am and there is now a 200 person waiting list. After she went on Leno in the fall wearing the brand, JCrew.com had a 64% increase of net traffic the following days. It’s not just the first lady either, after the first children Sasha and Malia wore JCrew to inauguration, the company’s stock increased 10.6%.
