Capitol power plant dims clean energy hopes

The power plant that heats up the Capitol serves as an example of the problems that will be associated with going green. The cost right now to transform the 99 year-old facility is extremely high and transferring itself to natural gas rather than coal would only serve to increase the cost of emission. Yet, Congress has a responsibility to serve as an example to the rest of the nation. Considering the goals of Congress and President Obama have been to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, it may be wise to start creating some of the green jobs that President Obama has been suggesting.
