Taliban threaten two attacks per week in Pakistan

The situation with Afghanistan and Pakistan just got a bit more complicated now that the Taliban has made a major threat to the U.S. There really is no way to know how effective our strikes in Pakistan have been, but it does say something when the Taliban feels so threatened that they needed to push forward with this message. I do not like the idea of being forced into military actions solely because of a threat of terrorist attacks, but maybe in this situation if the Taliban follows through in their suicide bombings, we might need to consider going after them a bit stronger. It is terrible to see innocent people die just because some people dislike our country. Suicide bombings have always been part of the equation, but I have never heard of this kind of intimidation coming so publicly against our country. We do need to ensure the safety of people through our actions, but we cannot allow ourselves to be dictated to by groups like the Taliban because then we will be showing a sign of weakness in a time where we cannot afford to. We need to stand strong against terrorist threats in the most effective way possible and if it means continuing something that the Taliban does not like then it seems to me like it is permissible to do so.
