Give it up Norm

I came across this website and thought you all might like to check it out. The main premise to get Norm Coleman to withdraw from his expensive legal battle and give Al Franken the Senate seat. I went to the facebook group just to check out what messages the group is trying to convey and I found that a member of the Democratic National Committee is one of the leaders behind the movement. If I were that person I would not want to be associated publicly with the group because it is a bit distasteful. Franken is going to end up winning the race it appears and there is no reason to start another battle like this publicly. I can see why a person would want to have the group and petition created because the more publicity and anger that grows out of the situation, the more likely Coleman will be to end his battle. What really interests me about the GiveitupNorm.com organizers is their use of technology and connecting with a younger audience. To acquire 1500 facebook users within 24 hours is pretty good and they seem to be updating their twitter account pretty frequently. I do not know how much good this will end up doing, but it is nice to see young people getting involved in something they care about.
