English-Only Driver's Test Proposed in Ga.

Immigration reform is a major project for the Obama administration that still lies on the agenda. Georgia is taking things into their own hands by offering tough restrictions on driver license applications. I can see how it is important for all people on the road driving to understand the signs and street names that are on every corner because that just makes it better for the safety of other drivers on the road. Foreigners coming into this country to work should at the very least have access to information that they can utilize while driving because otherwise they are just as unqualified as our youth to get out on the street. Translators or aids aren't going to be with drivers at all times so it does make sense that in order to gain a license a person should understand the proper safety guidelines of driving before they put themselves and others at risk. This proposed law would be a strong stance for future immigration policies around the nation and depending on how the Obama administration wants to tackle the issue it should definitely start squeaking its ways into the headlines.
