Beer fans glad W.H. has a drinker

One of the reasons that people were confident enough to vote for former President Bush in his campaigns was that they saw the desirability of having a beer with Bush. Now, I know that he did not drink considering his changed lifestyle, but the fact that it became a heuristic individuals used to cast their vote is meaningful. I feel that many Americans would feel similarly about President Obama and it certainly reflects in how much support he garnered at the polls on election day and how well his approval ratings have remained despite a worsening of the state of the country during his short time in office. However, one of the lobbying groups that needs President Obama on their side is the beer industry because with the cost of producing and manufacturing going up they need someone who will be committed to their cause. I am not exactly sure that he will be given that he still raised the tax on cigarette smokers despite his own smoking habit.
