Flake won’t give up on PMA

Living real close to Representative Jeff Flake's Arizona district, the issue of earmarks consistently reaches its way into the local news and paper. Flake is one of the leading members of Congress determined to ensure that earmarks are given to projects that deserve and are worthy of financial help from the government rather than simply giving money to campaign contributors who donated large sums of money solely to see payback in the future. This is one of his key issues and I agree with him in that if we are going to funding projects then we had better make sure they are needed and will be of significant use in the future especially right now when we are spending large on thousands of projects around the country. There is nothing wrong with companies contributing to get their hand outs, but it is something that Congress should be aware of when deciding who gets what from taxpayer money.
