Colorado GOP is slow off the mark
I am surprised to that the Republican Party cannot find a candidate to run in the run-off in 2010. Whenever a special election occurs it should represent a chance for both parties to have a good shot at winning because the candidates are fresh faces. With Salazar holding a cabinet position in the Obama administration, Republicans should be viewing Colorado as a battleground state where they could potentially take back another seat. To not even have a candidate at this point is going to be extremely harmful to whoever eventually gets the nod because of the efforts of fundraising and getting your name out in the public will not be in place. The incumbent Michael Bennet really hasn't done much in terms of making himself look bad so Republicans are missing an excellent opportunity to raise concerns that the public probably isn't aware of.
