Interesting, if not mildly entertaining op-ed piece discussing why it is in Gingrich's best interest to step down as a presidential nominee, and team up with Santorum as his running mate. Based on Gingrich's giant ego, it is likely that running as the number 2 would be akin to remaining faithful to his wife (unheard of). However, running as the VP might be the best bet for conservatism.
"If Santorum went on to defeat Romney, then Gingrich gets the credit. If not, then Gingrich emerges as the undisputed leader of U.S conservatism....or he could choose to go down, sooner or later, to inglorious defeat."
