Weill Gives Cornell $170 Million, Well Ahead of Schedule

Lucky Cornell University.....
Sanford Weill is giving the $170 million that was supposed to go to the university upon his death, now. The school is struggling with their endowment due to the falling economy and Weill felt that it would be prudent for them to receive the money now (Cornell's budget has an 8% deficit and their endowment fell by 1/3 in the past year). He has already donated $200 million before this very generous (and early) donation.
