Settlement Clears Way for Aid to Sacramento

I am glad that Kevin Johnson finally cleared the air with the federal government so that Sacramento can receive stimulus money. It was wrong of his organization to misuse federal funding especially given the cause he has been supporting since his retirement from pro basketball. Even though there was gross mismanagement of the organization's employees, I think KJ is better for it and will strive to ensure that nothing like this happens again. For him to post almost $73,000 out of his own pocket back to the government shows how committed he really is to his new job as mayor and his constituents. Sacramento is a city really hurting right now and with the Kings no longer selling out like in the good ole days, the town has had nothing to look forward to. That has changed with this move and now the city can regain some of the hope for a better tomorrow because with KJ running the point, the city looks to be in great hands. I cannot remember meeting a nicer guy on the Phoenix Suns when he was playing and I know personally that he is someone that I would love to go into battle with. I wish him the best of luck in the future and hopefully his new city will see the same things in him that made him one of my all-time favorite players in the NBA.
