Sorry for missing WB presentations last night....I'll post some links over the next few days related to World Bank Presidents.
First up: Paul Wolfowitz. He became president of the World Bank in 2005 (nominated by Bush)and resigned in 2007. "The decision came four days after a special investigative committee of the bank concluded that he had violated his contract by breaking ethical and governing rules in arranging the generous pay and promotion package for Shaha Ali Riza, his companion, in 2005". (NYT) He was also known for fighting with different branches of the bank and suspended aid to several countries without getting consent from the rest of the board. Ironically enough, he was best known for his work on the WB's anti-corruption campaign.
