New Poll Shows Bleak Support for Republicans

I was amazed by the differences in cross-party support in this recent NY Times poll. While usually 25% of Republicans would support the Democrats on an issue, fewer than 10% of Democrats would return the favor. What I found even more startling however, is how over 25% of Republicans have a negative opinion of their own party. If the Republican leadership doesn't do something soon, they are going to face an ugly round of elections in 2010.
