Lawmaker Is Said to Have Agreed to Aid Lobbyists

It seems very shady to me with all of the behind the scenes manipulation Representative Jane Harmon tried to use for her own benefit. I do not really care if she wanted the top post of National Security Chair, at some point things should be done in the most appropriate manner. If she deserved to be in the position then she would have garnered the spot on her own accord. Threatening to have constituents withhold campaign contributions for other members of Congress is not the way to lead by example. Even worse is that she believes she has not done anything wrong. Regardless of how she feels the situation went down, I cannot stand behind her actions and see something to admire. Our representatives in Congress should be devoting their efforts towards making the country a better place to live rather than trying to help lobbyists steer clear of prosecution because they contribute significant amounts of money to aid in re-election. I am glad that the NSA was able to capture some of the conversations she was having because otherwise we would not be able to see how she strongly she is committed to gaining power in anyway possible.
