House moves to keep Blagojevich from book profits

Blago just can't catch a break. The big figure book deal that he expected to make him a very rich man is now probably up in smokes with a new piece of legislation proposed by the Illinois state legislature. I am very surprised by how this story keeps developing interesting headlines each day because I thought there was only so much to cover. I see no way that Blago avoids a conviction in court given how much has already gotten out and so all Blago can gain from his book disclosure is more exposure and attention. I don't know why all of the sudden the legislature decided to take such drastic action, but I can assume that they just want this situation to be over with as soon as possible. Blago now has more ammo to play with in the media and it seems inevitable that he will come out against the legislature and bring negative attention to them. Chicago needs to stay out of the limelight right now because it is risking its chances at getting the 2016 Olympics with all of the publicity. Additionally with the state's budget crisis, I think they should be concentrating their attention towards resolving this issue so that it can concentrate on more worthwhile measures.
