Charter Schools Weigh Freedom Against the Protection of a Union
Many charter schools are deciding to break away from unions - claiming that they are too rigid and focus the attention away from the students and their education. Teachers and staff that work for charter schools are feeling frustrated about the lack of support they are recieving from the state but are also finding that the union-option is not appealing as well. Clearly there is a lack of communication between the state and charter schools that needs to be cleared up so the schools can perform better.
