Underinsured Americans: The cost to you

As it stands now, the rising cost of health care is a problem not only for those who do not have insurance, but also those who do. I can see why President Obama wants to reform the industry given the financial problems many Americans face. I don't believe that people should be delaying potential visits to the hospital solely because they cannot afford to get the treatment that they need. If we can find a way to reduce the cost of insurance for every American, then I would see President Obama's plan as being a success.

I agree completely. There also has to be more focus on prevention rather than treatment. The most cost effective way to treat illnesses is to ensure they never occur in the first place. This means more PE and nutrition education in schools, healthier school lunches, more legislation to promote knowledge of what you are eating (like posting of calories in NYC), etc.
