TSA: Vitter wasn't security threat at airport

Is this an example of a Congressman getting off lightly for a mistake? When the story was first reported I thought Senator Vitter would have been in big trouble given his recent history with causing a ruckus. I know that if an ordinary citizen would have gone through an emergency exit door and argued with security he/she would most likely have been put in a closed door situation for interrogation. I like that fact that we have increased our security at the airports, but I think we need to hold everyone accountable for their actions. If Senator Vitter did actually do what was reported then I am ashamed that we would change our enhanced system solely for a Senator to catch a flight. I am sure that if he had just informed security and the people in front of him of his rush that he would have been able to move ahead without a problem or at the very least he would have been given a spot on the next flight out. It just goes to show that maybe patience is a good virtue to have as it won't get you into potential problem situations.
