Steele's Focus Turns to Nuts and Bolts

Michael Steele is having a hard time demonstrating his worth to the Republican Party. He has become the brunt of many jokes and is being portrayed in the media as an ineffective leader. I think it he were to simply focus on the main missions of his job, he would see much more success. The top priority for him should be helping other GOP candidates get reelected. That means that one of the most important things he should be concentrating on is the race in NY for the open seat where the race is a dead heat. Yes, the money being spent for this seat is rising significantly, but it is worth sending back the message that the Republican Party is back and that it will continue to grow in the future. His other main goal should be to continue raising money so that during the midterm election, the Party will be able to help its candidates win their races. Only raising $5 million in February is a bit low even with the struggling economy and efforts to increase the war chest definitely should be taking place right now.
