Obama’s Popularity Doesn’t Sway Republican Critics

It is true that most people tend to like their own Congressman better than the body as a whole, but in times like these where the President and the Democrats are pushing one agenda and the Republicans are trying to oppose it, I would expect to see a little less support for one side or the other. However, Republicans still have been able to criticize some of the proposals that Democrats have made and not worsen their base they need for reelection. President Obama still maintains a healthy public approval rating, but he is constantly being criticized over his political agenda by some Republicans in districts that supported Obama during the last election. It will be interesting to see if it actually turns off voters during the next election or if they enjoy seeing some contrast in the political arena.
