Post-9/11 reforms don't stop passport fakery
The market for fake passports seems to be pretty cheap if for $300 you can get one that would enable you travel or identify yourself as an American citizen. Even though I am not sure how we could crack down on this problem, it does pose a potential security threat for criminals and terrorists. The 9/11 terrorists used fake id's from Virginia to board planes and we were unable to stop them. We do not want something like this to happen again so maybe more reform to the passport scrutiny process should be taken.
