Move To Rewrite Law On Appointed Senators

I am impressed that the Senate is finally taking notice of a problem that has recently come to light. It appears Blago will actually get his recognized for a piece of legislation even though it reflects another negative aspect of his political career. It really does not make much sense for the governors of states to impart their own person to fill vacant seats considering that every other member had to be elected by the citizens of this country. Special elections would give the public a chance to see someone they believe in rather than someone who they are told to believe in.
