More TV ads project images of racial harmony

Given the recent comments from Eric Holder and Senator Durbin about the racism present in this country, companies are doing there best to show inclusion rather than exclusion. During the Super Bowl we saw countless commercials that showed racial harmony including the E-trade special pictured above. With the economic crisis that the country is in right now, companies have to do all they can to get people buying their products and by reaching out through television advertising they are able to reach a greater audience for their products. Who can forget the classic Cash4Gold commercial with Ed McMahon and MC Hammer trying to sell their gold teeth, cuflings, and golf clubs? Given the increased power of African Americans in the marketplace appealing to them with advertising may help keep businesses afloat until the economy recovers.
