Kaine cash haul leaves Dems wanting
The fundraising efforts of the Democrats have been subpar since President Obama took office. For Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia to be holding the position of Chairman of the DNC and his legislative role in Virginia is a lot to be asking of him. Even if Democrats believe Kaine is the right man for the job, then he should have made a choice to either continue with his governor term and then take over or he should have taken over immediately. Serving a part-time role for the DNC limits the amount of time he can spend trying to spread the message of the Party to gain money needed for upcoming races in 2010. For Republicans to have outraised them the past month with a chairman whose making headlines for the wrong reasons, illustrates that money is out there to be had if only the proper measures are taken.
