Former Rep. Simmons to take on Dodd

Maybe the Democrats won't be as successful with Senate seat gains in 2010 as once thought. With the decision for Rob Simmons to run against Senator Chris Dodd, Republicans have a legitimate shot at challenging an incumbent. I wouldn't be surprised if Simmons or another Republican ends up winning with all of the problems that Dodd faces over his mortgage. Dodd seems like he just is moving through the motions and a bit overconfident on his chances of winning a reelection. With the right communication strategies, Republicans can definitely put up a good fight for the seat in Connecticut.
