Feinstein seeks block solar power from desert land
California is facing a catch-22 situation regarding the development of renewable energy projects in the Mojave Desert. On the one hand, I think it is important to continue moving forward with wind and solar energy as a means of transforming our energy policy and making it more cost and environmentally efficient to meet the energy needs of the public. However, I can see why Senator Feinstein is trying to protect the land and the wildlife on it that could potentially be disrupted with the creation of these projects. I would imagine that the desert would be a perfect place for solar energy production, but if the environmental analysis states that it will do more harm than good, then maybe starting renewable energy projects in the area should not occur.
