A Defining Moment for Treasury Secretary

We all knew what a challenging job Tim Geithner was in for when he stepped in as the Treasury Secretary, but maybe he wasn't aware of how important his role would be. I liked this article because it demonstrates some of the faults that Geithner has made and how the AIG story may be his defining moment depending on how it turns out. The miscommunication between Geithner and President Obama is apparent with their differences in what to do with the bonuses that have been given to AIG employees. When the President says that you need to exhaust all options before making such dramatic statements like there is nothing we can do to stop it, then you need to do so. I doubt that AIG bonuses will ever be forced to be given back and if that is the case then Geithner really will be on thin ice as Representative Boehner says.
