Although it might be quicker and more efficient to appoint czars in the short-term, in the long-run it seems like it'll only create more overlap between government departments. There's already too much red tape in Washington, the appointment of czars seems like it'll just create more jurisdictional confusion. Then again, maybe the czars will be able to carry out actual actions more quickly than the large bureaucracies can.
