Advice From Murtha Allies Guided Funding Requests

Another Democrat in a scandal? Representative John Murtha is just the latest member to succumb to a wrong action by having one of his greatest achievements come back to bite him. Having created a research center in his home state of Pennsylvania is something I would consider a good thing. However, when he decided that he was going to direct federal funding to the center after being elected that may have been a bit of a conflict of interest. Nonetheless, the real problem is that he had the research center pay back donors to his campaign for contributions. When will politicians learn that it is better to win the right way then risk the danger of cutting corners in the long run? I would expect that we will be hearing a lot more about Rep. Murtha in the news in the near future given the severity of this problem.
