Nevada governor's divorce papers claim infidelity
I don't know how many of you are familiar with the story behind Nevada's governor Jim Gibbons personal life, but I have been following the story since this summer. It was extremely funny seeing the governor move out of his own mansion while his wife refused to leave it. I always was curious as to the legality of the threat his wife was making by claiming she would never leave the mansion even if they got divorced. I just do not understand how someone would be able to live with a person they despise so much just for the sake of comfort of a nice home. Now that some of the more pertinent details regarding the cause of the separation are coming to light, it is obvious that Gibbons had had enough of his wife and sought companionship elsewhere. You have to think that he would have at least been smart enough to use a private cellphone to make texts and illicit messages to other women. Gibbons just has handled this whole mess the wrong way and his ineptitude in resolving his personal affairs has hurt the state as Las Vegas in particular is suffering from its worst year in a really long time. Not that Gibbons could have prevented this from happening, but maybe he could have been a bit more on the ball.
