CVC evacuates

Even though I wasn't at work yesterday, I still received an email that read something similar to the message posted in this article. It reminded me a lot of the Hamilton all-campus emergency emails that we have gotten from time to time. I do not understand how so many threats can occur and be disengaged with a few minutes as have happened in the Capitol of late. Either the threat is serious and should be dealt with by the proper authorities or someone isn't doing their job in monitoring what comes in and out of the buildings. I have been evacuated once so far from my office building and luckily it lasted only a few minutes, but nonetheless it was still very disruptive and disorganized. The Capitol police surround the buildings all day long and I would think that they would be able to bring efficiency and organization to potential crisis situations, but that has not been the case in my experience. I am glad to see that we are taking all threats seriously though because one wrong move and there could be major trouble brewing up on Capitol Hill.
