U.S. offers $900 million to Palestinians

Aid is on the way to Palestinians from the United States. I was a bit shocked when I heard that Hillary Clinton has proposed a $900 million aid package to restore the region of Gaza and help in the humanitarian efforts in the region. That is a large amount of money to be giving away at this point considering the staggering deficit we face. Additionally, since peace is the number one goal of these efforts, I would like to see Palestinian leaders come to the table for discussions with Israel if they are to receive such a substantial amount of funding. We have a valuable chip on our hands with monetary resources and using it appropriately could be the beginning of the end to conflict in Gaza.
