the AIG bonus story is beginning to look a little bit like the Madoff scandal in terms of public outrage. Just as protesters stood outside Madoff's NY city building with signs stating "jump!", now AIG executives have reporters and neighbors alike harassing them on their doorsteps.
Although I don't agree with the AIG executives getting such lofty bonuses, they are already having to ask the police and private security guards for protection while in public. I do think that they should be held accountable for their actions, but it's a shame that such public ridicule can follow people into their private lives and onto their front lawns.
