Romney rakes it in, doesn't dole it out

Mitt Romney appears to be doing a good job of keeping his fundraising efforts at a high level despite his lack of success during the election. I think it is a smart move by him to start building up a war chest because it seems like he is going to again be one of the top candidates that Republicans throw out during the 2012 election. Having money in the bank over some of his potential competitors will enable him to build the necessary rapport with the public and promote his political agenda across the country. We saw how powerful the money advantage that President Obama had over Senator McCain had an influential part in the election with some of the long advertisements in key spots. Romney has some catching up to do with the Republican Party and in order for him to stand any chance a monetary edge will be necessary.
