An Outbreak of Autism, or a Statistical Fluke?

There seems to be an increase in the number of somalian children with autism. Scientists are trying to find out whether this increase is considered an "outbreak" or whether the numbers are wrong. However, since the cause of autism is unknown many scientists are unsure as to what to look for in their research. They are hoping to release results later in the month.
