Obama’s Backing Raises Hopes for Climate Pact

Interesting to note the tremendous influence a new president has on international climate policy. At the Powershift youth environmental conference this weekend, I saw that influence in full force; the mood at the conference was far more celebratory than in the year before Obama's election, when concepts like "green jobs" and a strong US climate policy were only distant hopes.
