New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand Must Convince Her Constituents
I think it will be very difficult for Gillibrand to win two elections in a row within the next four years. I don't believe she will be able to generate the $60 million she will need due to her lack of political experience and the number of competitors who likely will challenge her. She clearly wasn't Governor Patterson's first choice for the open seat and she really only won her House seat due to the problems of the Republican incumbent. It will be very interesting if she can withstand the many obstacles she faces because otherwise she will have not only lost her spot in the Senate, but also any chance to move back to the House of Representatives.
