McConnell: There Are No Good Alternatives to Guantanamo

Here is a piece written by Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell on why he believes that Guantanamo Bay should stay open. It is interesting to get a look at how Republicans feel about the issue from the top because McConnell is basically speaking for the whole Party with his thoughts. While some of his points are a bit exaggerated such as the care that inmates receive, he does correctly argue the problems with releasing the inmates especially ones who return back into their terrorist cells looking for revenge. Additionally, Holder hasn't really said anything since his visit to the base and so we are left wondering exactly what the plan is given that there really does not seem like many palpable solutions.
