Maverick Specter's toughest vote could be ahead

Here is an interesting development on the Employee Free Choice Act from Arlen Specter. The Republican party is against the bill and for Specter to buck the party again, he may be hurting his appeal to the party's base. I think it will be a tough call for Specter because his state's constituency will be in favor of the bill to make forming unions easier, but his party will not. Specter has some cause for concern in the 2010 election given that the Republican party will want to put up a candidate that will think more conservatively than Specter has shown of late.
