The Pan Am flight that exploded in Scotland in 1988 has paid off big time for the lobbyist group Gillespie & Associates. I was very surprised to see them get $2 million in fees for their work on getting the families of victims killed on the plane crash. I have not seen many lobbyists get that much for doing a single job, but I can see why they should have been paid for what they did instance. It was a tragic loss for America when the plane blew up killing over 100 citizens, when there was no reason for the situation to have occurred.
