Hearst prints final Seattle PI as newspapers dwindle

Another giant in the newspaper industry has closed its print edition for good. Even with the long-standing history of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, it is not surprising to see it come to a close given the large decrease in paper viewership and increase in online reading. I find it disappointing that many of the nation's leading newspapers are struggling to make ends meet and are being forced into closure because the value of reading the news is very important. Despite the fact that many people would rather read the news online, many of the best headlines have come from these very newspapers and with them gone we will be without a great piece of information and history.
