GOP spending big to fight for NY seat
The race for the open House seat in New York is turning out to be a dead heat despite the advantages GOP candidate Jim Tedisco has held since being named the nominee. I can see why the Republicans are turning this into a key place to begin their re-emergence given the significant number of party members living in the district. I was a bit surprised to see that 82 GOP Congressman have written checks to Tedisco for his campaign and that many freshmen have contributed to the cause. Tomorrow the financial reports come in from both Tedisco and his Democrat rival and it will be interesting to see if Scott Murphy's fellow party members are as generous with their time and money.
