DNC reimburses Chicago for Obama's $1.74 M rally
President Obama's victory speech on election night was pretty costly. I am glad to see that Chicago was reimbursed for its expenditures because it would have been a significant amount of money that could have been spent elsewhere by the city. It is pretty amazing that President Obama needed a security team that ended up costing $1 million for just one night. I am all for ensuring the safety of the public as well as the president, but that cost just seems extraordinarily high for a few hours of time.
