Cain Again?

But seriously, I think we need to begin questioning the motivations behind the actions of his accusers. Why do they come out after so many years? I don't think your motive is to get true justice. But well, that could be it. Idk.

Well, Cain wasn't a political figure until very recently so there was no reason for them to come public about it, nobody would have cared... I don't really see any reason for the woman to be lying, I don't see what she'd be getting out of it.

Yeah, I don't think she's asked for any compensation so far, correct me if I'm wrong. Unfortunately, it hasn't taken long for the character assassinations to begin...

@Colin: If she was really sexually harassed and felt violated, it doesn't really make sense to think about it for like 20 years before coming out about it unless her only motive is to ruin his run.

The fact that 4 other anonymous women come out about it at the same time along the same flawed argument(that they never brought it up before) is also suspicious.

Then to top it all off, she hires arguably the most prominent Democratic Lawyer to defend her.

To me the fact that it has garnered so much attention says there may be truth to the stories, but all of the other arguments paint a scenario that suggest otherwise.

Well, I mean, obviously she was motivated by Cain's campaigning for President... because if these allegations are true then people ought to know about it. Again, what would have been the point of talking about this before now? Who would have cared?

I am also a little mystified as to what conspiracy is supposed to be bringing this up. Certainly Democrats have no incentive to do so and Romney seems happy to just wait for Cain to blow himself up. I guess it could be coming from Perry or Bachmann or something but it seems a little far-fetched.

I do agree however that Gloria Allred's involvement is pretty hilarious. I will also admit to having got quite a giggle out of her line about Cain giving her client "his idea of a stimulus package".
