POSTAL SERVICE SHOULD BECOME AN INDEPENDENT BUSINESS

Being independent from the federal government would allow it to provide it's employees with necessary/affordable healthcare.

It would also allow the postal service to come up with new ideas/technology needed to compete in a world where emails and text messages dominate the way we communicate.

Like a business, the postal service would have to look out for its own interests and not rely on the government to have its back. It would also discourage the postal service form building a debt that exceeds 50 billion dollars!
