Perry the Unelectable?

I don't know how many of you fellow election junkies were watching the Republican debate last night, but Gov. Perry really made a point of characterizing Social Security as a ponzi scheme that should be dismantled completely.  Nate Silver from FiveThirtyEight has written an interesting article about whether this significantly outside-the-mainstream idea makes Perry unelectable, and whether the Republican primary electorate cares about that.
